Deanna Joyce Burton-Lyons was born on February 7, 1968 to Alvin and Shirley Burton, both of Wilmington, DE and was raised in the Faulkland Heights area. She attended McKean High School. Unfortunately, Deanna tragically lost her life on May 7, 2022 at the age of 54, in Pompano Beach, FL, where she had been residing for the last few years. Deanna was a social person, and chances are, if you knew her, you had some type of inside joke with her. And no matter how much time had passed, you would still be able to pick up right where you left off and feel like she had always been there. She was special in that way. In her spare time, Deanna loved to play guitar and she also loved to hang out with her dog. She is survived by her daughter, Gabrielle Reanna Woodward, her twin brother, Christopher Burton, and her 2 sisters, Deborah (June) Young and Lorinda Lafferty. The family will be hosting a private memorial service on Sunday, June 12th but will be available for guests afterwards, at 2:00 pm at BBC Tavern and Grill. 4019 Kennett Pike, Greenville, DE 19807
