Deanna Naomi Blafer (Goldstein) passed away on November 11, 2023, age 85, in Roswell, Georgia. She was born on May 15, 1938 in New York and then spent much of her childhood in Miami Beach, Florida. She then moved to Great Neck, New York to attend Great Neck North High School, from where she graduated in 1956. In 1960, she graduated from Hofstra University. She then worked as a teacher at Cedar Road Elementary School in Commack, New York. She fell in love and married her husband of 60 years, Jerome Lionel Blafer, on April 6, 1963. In 1971 they moved to Plantation, Florida where they raised their children. She was a resident of Georgia for the past eight years.

Deanna was a wonderful friend, never had a bad word to say about anyone. She is predeceased by her parents Tillie Edith (Kutcher) and Charles Z. Goldstein and her brother Melvin Goldstein. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerome Blafer, her son Craig Blafer (Amy Fine), her daughter Tracey (Blafer) Dunbrack (Tim), her grandchildren Alex, Matthew (fiancé Rachel Lawless), Liam Dunbrack and Max Blafer.
