How you can help

On April 23rd, we lost a good man—my dad. He was a kind, hardworking father and a loving grandfather who meant the world to us. This loss has hit our family hard, both emotionally and financially.

We sat down with the funeral home today and learned that the cost to give him the burial he deserves is just under $12,000. Unfortunately, his life insurance only covers $5,000, leaving us short by about $6,400. We can reduce that slightly by choosing a grave liner instead of a sealed vault—but my dad always said he wanted a sealed one, and we want to honor his wishes.

To make matters harder, his wife and two grandchildren—who lived with him and relied on him—are now facing the loss of his income. While we’re focused first on giving him the respectful burial he deserves, we’re also hoping to raise enough to help cover their rent for the next few months while they adjust and figure out their next steps.

The funeral home requires payment in full before we can proceed with services, so we are asking for help as soon as possible. Anything you can give, even just a few dollars, makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this.
