Dean's obituary

Dean Ingerson, 71, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Born on December 12, 1954, in Clinton, Massachusetts, Dean lived a life marked by deep passions, enduring friendships, and a love for meaningful conversation.

Dean was the beloved son of the late David H. Ingerson and Dorothy "Dotty" Ingerson of Vermont. He was also predeceased by his cherished son, Dean Ingerson, in 2007 and his longtime partner, Susan DeStratis, earlier in 2025. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

A man of wide-ranging interests and deep intellect, Dean was an avid lover of history and politics. He often engaged in spirited discussions with his brother or close friends—conversations that reflected not only his knowledge but also his curiosity and wit. Music and art were also central to Dean’s life. He shared a special bond with Susan through their mutual love of music; together they played guitar and created songs that echoed their connection and creativity.

Dean leaves behind his daughter Sherri Ingerson. Dean will be truly missed by his brother David Ingerson and his niece Melissa Ingerson. His very dear friend Danny held a special place in his life, as did the many other friends with whom he spent a lifetime making memories and sharing laughter. Dean’s stories, humor, and presence left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
