Background

Honoring a Legacy of Faith, Service, and Community: The Deacon Jacob Paige Memorial Scholarship

Deacon Jacob Paige lived a life rooted in faith, service, and the unwavering belief that uplifting others was God’s greatest calling. From mentoring teenage boys at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church to coaching Little League teams for nearly two decades, Deacon Paige’s legacy was built on shaping futures, one life at a time.

A pillar of his community, Deacon Paige didn’t just preach love—he lived it. For over 50 years, he served his church and Westchester County with a selfless heart: teaching Sunday School, leading social justice initiatives, and bridging divides as a leader on the Human Relations Board. He believed education and mentorship were keys to unlocking potential, often opening his home to family and strangers alike. Even in retirement, he remained a steady force, gathering loved ones on Zoom during the pandemic to ensure no one felt alone.

This scholarship embodies Deacon Paige’s lifelong mission: to empower the next generation through opportunity. By supporting students who exemplify his values—faith, resilience, and service—we honor a man who dedicated himself to lifting others up. Your contribution does more than fund education; it sustains a legacy of hope, ensuring that Deacon Paige’s light continues to guide young leaders as they build a brighter, kinder world.

Give today to help students walk in his footsteps—because the best way to keep a memory alive is to let it inspire greatness in others.
