'Diran, continue to rest in the Lord. Your legacy lives on! Till we meet at the Lord's feet
Blessed is the memory of the righteous. It's been two years since the Lord took you away from us! Dr Olabisi, we fondly remember you like Dorcas in the Bible, as someone who spent his life being a blessing to others. I have a fond memory of your visit to us in Pretoria in October 2011,  and your sustaining prayer in my office as Executive Dean of my faculty at the Tshwane University of Technology.  We missed you but we are thanking God for your's being a glorious exit of a Soldier of Christ, loyal to his Master to the end!  Looking forward to our reunion at the Lord's feet, where we shall meet and part no more! Amen.

I was disturbed when I heard the news of Deacon Dr John Oyediran Olabisi's passing. May his memories live on.

May the good Lord God never leave the wife and the family left behind alone. May He surround you all with His goodness and kindness. May His presence keep all of you during the day and the night.

May 2023 bring you everlasting joy

Blessed is the memory of the righteous!

On this post-humous commemoration of his birthday, We remain ever grateful to God Almighty for his towering legacy.

Hallelujah!

We have known the Olabisi family since the early 1980s when we were neighbors in the GRA Ikolaba area. Dr. Olabisi was always very supportive and encouraging. We are forever greatful for the medical assistance and support he has provided to all our relatives. We will remember him for his friendship, cheerfulness and support provided to our parents and family as he makes his transition to be with our Heavenly Father. May God be your comfort and may he continue to guide you all - Mommy, Funmi, Tola, Diran and Oyebola.

I never got to meet Dr. Olabisi, but I love Oyebola. It's evident he must've been a wonderful man, because Oyebola is a dear friend, wonderful mother, brilliant researcher and passionate sojourner in faith. May you be comforted that his character and legacy lives on in the lives of his children and those who loved him.

Our path crossed in 2008 when I was appointed as the then Director of Finance of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. His bosom friend, E. B. Ajao was my colleague in the office. He was the one that introduced Dr. Olabisi's Highland Hospital to me for retainers. We eventually became friends and I see him as my Uncle retaining at that level till passed on to glory. Dr. Olabisi later became the Chairman of the Medical Board of the NBC. I was a member of the Board by virtue of my office and we related very well together.
Before this time, few members of staff patronize highland hospital but several members of staff began to patronize Highland immediately after granting the hospital retainers. I still find it very difficult to address him in the past tense. He stood by me throughout my tenure in Baptist Building. I consulted with him on several issues that have to do with my health and office. The climax of our journey together was when i fell ill for almost a year. I later discovered that he treated me pro bono. He never sent any bill to my office. God really used him to save my life. Even when I got to Canada, we were still consulting with him. He was so loving and caring. Details of my testimony about him are already sent to his Memorial. Mama Olabisi is also very close to us. The family is very good and godly.

Deacon Olabisi has always been a father to me since I was born. Your warmth and interest in my progress has remained unparalleled amidst all the father-figures in my life. You will surely be missed Sir. Rest on, Rest well Sir. Your memories will be ever-green in my heart!!!
Dear Mummy (Deaconess Olabisi), Funmilola, Detola, Diran and Oyebola (The Olabisi brother and sisters),
On behalf of my dad (Adelani Surveyor), I want to express our condolences to your family on the sad loss of Daddy, Dr Olabisi.
Your dad was a very kind man.He lived an exemplary life. His life history described simplicity at its best.
He demonstrated and validated what humanity is all about.
Dr Olabisi proved beyond reasonable doubt that, you can still be a civil servant or self-employed in Nigeria and raise exceptionally quality kids. He in charitable & philanthropic. He believed in science, a devoted Christian who had close friends and associates in other religions. He displayed uncommon native intelligence. I am still searching for the pix I took with him, my dad and Alhaji Odejinmi (RIP) during the ribbon cutting of Highland specialist hospital Yemetu Ibadan in year 2001, just finishing Med Sch then.
I also have loads of sweet memories of your dad e.g.in July 2014 he & your mum were visiting Detola (Mrs Amure) in Essex and I arranged to come and see him but couldn’t make the schedule.
He later called me and said I know what you wish to discuss, the summary of what he said was “okunrin ti de oo, O ti nro inu ile. The good news ni pe ile dun O, the lord has been good to me oh, since I returned from Saudi the lord has been good to me”. He ended by saying, “whenever you decide to return home, whether we are around or not God has a special plan for you”. Your dad said “keep and maintain all your contacts. He said relationships ( friends, colleagues & family ) you do not wish to lose, manage them with maximum diplomacy.
Dr Olabisi was a very wise man. Igangan kingdom , Oke Ogun , Ibadan , Oyo state and the Nigeria Ear-Nose & Throat-world has lost a dinosaur .

Daddy Olabisi knew me since i was born and it was a privilege for me to know him through the relationship he had with my parents.

His successful career and generosity speak for themselves and added to this was a much desired caring personality.

Even in this situation of wishing this could continue, I am grateful to God for the privilege of having these memories of him and the impactful life he had.
