Dawn's obituary
It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Dawn Maria Miller. Universally known and cherished as 'Momma Dawn', she preferred being addressed simply as Dawn. Born December 1, 1974, she departed this world far too soon on August 12, 2025.
Dawn is survived by her loving mother, Dianna Patterson and her siblings; Jessica Baxter, Annette Walker, Steven Kirk. She was a beacon of light to her family, and especially to her four children; Dalton Miller, Cody Miller, Colton Miller, and Alexis Cabrera, who were her absolute pride and joy.
Those who knew Dawn can affirm her bubbly and vibrant personality. She was loving, compassionate, bold, beautiful, and smart – loyal to her core, never to shy away from a challenge and always ready to crack a joke. She was a hundred percent authentic and down-to-earth.
Fishing was a deep-seated passion for Dawn, a joy she shared with friends along with her foosball games. She was also fond of playing casino and card games – her competitive spirit ever-present. Dawn's favorite local spots were ones where she could cast her line in the water, relax, and lose herself in her love for fishing. She also cherished the moments spent camping in her huge tent, one of her favorite vacation activities.
A loyal supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, her enthusiasm for her favorite teams was contagious. But perhaps the most impactful part of Dawn's life was the lessons she imparted. To her sister Jessica, she taught her how to live life being the best version of herself as she can. She taught her resilience and strength. These two were not only siblings, but they were best friends. To her children, she bestowed all the wisdom they needed to walk through life with love and compassion. She was proud of each and every one of them too, always bragging about their accomplishments in life. And to her family, she was a role model, raising four wonderful children and showing the unconditional love only a mother could give. Dawn will be remembered for many generations to come eith the impact she has left in this world! She had so many friends that she considered her family as well. She loved til there was no end!
A celebration of Dawn's vibrant life is to be held on September 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Swan Lake State Park. As we mourn the loss of her radiant presence, we remember and honor her as she would have wanted us to. She wouldn't want us to cease living but to strive harder, do better, and celebrate life, just as she did. Despite her absence, Dawn's spirit continues to live in our hearts, and her love will forever remain etched in our memories.
May you rest in eternal peace, Dawn. You're missed more than words can express, and loved beyond measure. We all love you, to the moon and back!
