Dawn's obituary
She was born in Hammond, Indiana to Bill Summers and the late Rosalee Kagel on September 4th, 1966. She is survived by her husband David Vaccaro, daughter Felicia (JD) Klein, her two beautiful grandchildren Hudson (6) and Leighton (3), sister Denise Dunahoo, two nieces Candice (Ian) Eldredge and Jasmine (Cory) Elwood.
She was an incredibly loving mother, wife and friend. She loved to spend time and play with her grandchildren. During the summer months you would find her planting flowers. She had a passion for people, she loved being able to give back and spread her love to everyone she touched. Dawn was extremely spiritual and believed that butterflies, birds and hawks were signs and blessings from God.
For the past 15 years, she viewed The Red Rooster Restaurant as a temple where people were nourished and loved. Her love for the customers was unparalleled, you came in as a stranger and left as a friend.
Her love for her family, for people, and for life cannot be put into words.
Her family will be having a celebration of life on Friday November 9th at The Red Rooster Restaurant from 3-5pm. Dawn and Dave are strong supporters of St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
