Dawn's obituary
Dawn May Boening (Olin) passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023, at the age of 50 in Lisle, NY. She was born on August 8, 1973, in Hamilton, NY. Dawn was a force of nature. She was the loving captain of her family ship, survived by her devoted husband, Robert Boening, and her amazing crew: Kayla Hunsinger, Morgen Bellefleur (Cody), Jon Boening, Autumn Boening, and Alexa Boening. Her legacy sails on through her cherished grandchildren: Preston, Mason, Jackson, Jordyn, and Adalyn. Dawn also leaves behind her mother, Sandra Aldi, and father, Bob Lee Aldi, who will forever be her guiding stars.
Dawn went to John F. Kennedy Junior-Senior High School, where she learned her skills for future adventures. She fearlessly navigated the roads as a bus driver and provided care as a nursing assistant, touching the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.
When Dawn wasn't behind the wheel or lending a helping hand, she could be found hooking everyone's attention with her crochet creations. Her talents were woven into every stitch, leaving a trail of warmth and beauty. She also had a bookworm's soul, diving into different worlds with every turn of the page. Dawn loved exploring the great outdoors, whether it was conquering hiking trails or reeling in the big catch while fishing. And let's not forget her incredible voice! She could hit all the right notes, making hearts sing along with her.
Dawn May Boening will forever be remembered as a beacon of light, bringing joy and laughter to those lucky enough to know her. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly, reminding us to appreciate the simple pleasures in life. As she sets sail on her eternal journey, may she find calm seas and a sky full of stars.
