It is with profound sadness that we note the passing of Davoyia "Monday" Moten, who departed this life on July 20, 2025. Known to many as Monday, she preferred her given name, Davoyia. Born on March 29, 1993, Davoyia brought joy, laughter, and kindness to those around her.
Davoyia was blessed with a large and loving family. She leaves to morn her loss: her mother, Koreckia Dillard, her father, Dundy Stanback, her sons, Kentrail Lacey and TJ Curne, her grandmother, Patricia Stanback, brothers James Stanback, Travis Moten, Jamon Moten, and Kwame Dillard, sisters Koreniqua Hubbard, and Rickealia Hubbard, along with her cherished aunts Kessa Marshall, Emma Stanback, Candy Stanback, and La’Tavia Jones.
In life, Davoyia was predeceased by her grandmother, Lettie P Moten, grandfather, Fred Hubbard, grandparent, Zerina Stanback, her dear brother Brad Jr Dillard, her cousin, Krystal Moten, and beloved Aunt Nola Dawson.
Remembered as a fun, outgoing, and hard worker, Davoyia made the most of her time, spending as much of it as possible with her family. She had an infectious spirit that often left others laughing, a testament to her joyful nature and radiant personality. Her legacy of kindness is a trait that will continue to inspire all those who knew her.
Davoyia's passing is a deep loss, but we find comfort in the joyful memories she left behind, her love for her family and friends, and her generous spirit. Rest in peace, Davoyia. You will forever be in our hearts.
