My heart hurts today for you! I wish I met you sooner in both of our lives but I am eternally grateful I got to meet you at all!! You may never know but you changed me in more ways then you will ever know. In such a short time, you made me re-evaluate my relationship with God. You reminded me of the incredible things that having strength and determination and positive self-talk can do!!

You went through such turmoil and chaos the last few months on this earth that NO HUMAN BEING should EVER have to deal with, but you did it with such grace and courage! Even on the days when you felt nothing but defeat and wanted to give up and give in, you still found it in you to turn it around and remind yourself that it’s only one day, one hour, one minute. Just get through this one minute and the next one will be better…

I told you at one point that I would never forget you and I meant every word of it!! Any time I feel defeated and wanna give up, I remember you and your huge heart. How even tho you were in a bed and unable to do anything to help yourself… you still wanted nothing more than to do anything you could to help ME!!

I will NEVER forget you Davita!! You have made a forever and lasting mark on my heart, my soul, my faith, and my future!!

You have also impacted my daughter, even tho you never met her… her heart hurts today also and feels like it isn’t fair, and it’s not. But knows you’re at peace and not in pain anymore and watching her from above. We will meet again and that day, we will enjoy your soups abs enchiladas and I’ll bring the bueno chocolates and the Lindt truffles!! We can put a record on and color in your coloring books!! We made this plan a while ago and I will still hold you to it! So Rest In Peace Davita! We will meet again! Until then, know that’s your presence is known and I will never forget the friendship we had!! 💞💗💜

Davita was one of the most wonderful women I have ever had a chance to take care of. No matter how much pain and suffering she endured she tried so hard to be positive and fight against all odds. I am so very sorry to you all who held her close in your hearts and lives. I pray you find peace knowing she is in a better place even though it's hard to see anyone go in such a way. I wish I had the opportunity to know her more, but I know she loved each and every one of her family and friends dearly and held you in her heart and thoughts often. ❤️

Although our paths diverged in life, I'll always be your freckle-faced little brother.  I'll always cherish the friendship we had in my youth, the long walks we took together in the forest, teaching me to sew, and our late night talks when we were both awake well beyond our bedtime.  I pray you're at peace now in heaven, reconnecting with our lost relatives, and hearing Dad sing, "You must have been a beautiful baby" whenever you want!  I love you Sissy.
