Needless to say we were devastated by the news of Davis's passing. Can't tell you how sorry Amy and I are for your loss.

Even though we didn't see each other very much, Davis was one of those special people that held a very lofty spot in my mind and heart. Truly one of the most genuine and nicest people I have ever met. Of course I now regret not making it more of a priority to spend more time with him...even if only the occasional round of golf together.

Please know that you will both forever be in our thoughts and prayers. I know you've got a wonderful support system in place but, if there is anything that you ever need, please don't hesitate to call upon us.

I look forward to our paths crossing at some point… Even if only to say hello and share a hug.

You are an amazing individual with a lot of life to live still. I know it will be difficult for a while but Davis would want you to continue forward and live your best life. That's what great partners hope for their better half's.

Oh, those twinkling eyes, ready smile, and cherub-sweet face!  Our adorable sweet friend graced us all with his humor, kindness, generosity, and zest for life!

And lurking behind those twinkling eyes was a man of great integrity and seriousness… who could see what people needed and helped without asking.  No wonder Save us Davis was his trademark.

Annie, my dear friend of almost 38 years, I love you so much for the fine person you are, but also for who you are with Davis and because of Davis, the love you two have for each other is a bright light for some to follow, and some to simply revere.  I know you will keep that light burning bright because your love won’t die,  Davis will be with you and among all of us, because none of us want that beautiful light that was his life to fade.
