Davis was raised in a Catholic home with a large family.  To honor his family faith tradition a Mass will be said for the repose of his soul at St Francis Catholic church in Incline on Sunday April 2 (Palm Sunday) at 9 AM.  If you are in the area please feel free to attend.
For me Davis is the edgier half of the Ann and Davis experience.  The two are inextricably linked, truly formed into one that the sum of both is greater than the individual. Some people you meet and pass, others, the encounter may form a memory or two.  The Ann-Davis encounter is different.  Time with Ann-Davis is significantly impactful.  It is rare that someone can escape an Ann-Davis encounter without being touched, understood and loved.  The Davis element of this duo is the guy that runs full speed forward.  If you aren't falling when skiing, you aren't skiing hard enough.  Every trip to catch a flight was a thrill because of the state of mind that "we aren't late for another 5 minutes". Always embrace every life moment with childlike enthusiasm and unmatched energy.  Davis may be the guy that always saves the day, as mentioned in the memory. But for me, he is also the guy that always leads the way.  First to jump off the rocks, first to cross country ski into the dark woods, first to take on any challenge, win or lose.  In any group of people, Davis always leads into the unknown with confidence, energy and courage.  For me in this case, of course Davis is leading the charge to the next phase of life.  Pushing his way through, exploring the area, making a path for us to follow, leading us. Showing that it's all good...that there really is no reason to be afraid. We don't have to rush to follow, the next phase has no time boundary so there is no being late.

Davis was a favorite patient at Incline Chiropractic. In my four years working there and getting to know Davis he was always cheerful, genuinely interested in the lives of others and extremely kind. He will be extremely missed, he was such a light in this world.

Dear Ann, I am so sorry to learn of your dear husband. I'll never forget you both making me grilled cheese sandwiches on his stove. He was so very kind. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts.

Big hugs to you,

Martine

The beautiful thing about Davis is he loved everyone. He made a point to see everyone and include them in the fun he was always planning. His death is personal to us all because he made everyone feel connected, loved and accepted. Always up for fun, with a personal deep conversation ever present in the mix. Others might shy from the transparency of a deep conversation with a friend, not Davis. He cherished everyone and tried to connect with all.

My condolences to Davis's family. He was so full of life and zest and taken much too soon.

I first met Davis when I started working in the Casino back in the summer of 2002. Over the years we worked more and more together. It was a pleasure getting to know Davis as he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Talking to him the months before he retired it was awesome to hear about all the adventures he had planned with Ann. He loved living in Tahoe and everything it had to offer. We talked about golf and the special shots/moments that keep you from giving up this crazy game. Thank you Davis for being my friend and always caring for me and my family. You are sorely missed!
