Patty and I have lots of great memories of David on our many ski trips over the years. He was fun to be with on the slopes and then at the parties afterwards in the evening.
David was also a tremendous help to the success of Brandt Technologies Inc. and ICI(et al) in the US coatings and printing ink industries during our business careers. He was a true professional.
We will miss him.
Cheers, David

David Our Big BrotherChildhood Memories : - trooping behind you on the way to Sunday School-as feral children on caravan holidays, mucking about in the sand dunes and riding in the waves- the annual Christmas pantomime treat was Aunty Agnes and Satsumas during the interval!-feeling grown up being allowed to shoot at targets with your bow and arrows and air rifle-helping us with our maths homework. Then Later:-watching you driving off to Newquay in a VW camper van with a crowd of your friends to go surfing-your many cars leaving rubber behind as you accelerated off-the horrific car accident which left you scarred and limping.Later Still:-great times together in Canterbury, Bath, Cornwall, Paris and USA-your boundless generosity-a proud, devoted father with endless love for his girls. We'll all miss you Dave. There is a part of you that will forever be with us here in England.Always love,Sally and Judy x x
Olivia - I will always remember the smile your dad had when we spent the afternoon wine tasting and having a picnic on the grand lawn of an estate in VA. It was glorious. We laughed, we shared stories and the generosity and adventurous spirit of your father surrounded us. In 20 years, that is one my favorite memories of our friendship and sharing our families and adventures together. That spirit lives on in you. I am grateful to have shared many more experiences with your dad and know that he will be missed. I share in your sorrow of losing a father but know that the memories create a sense of strength that helps to carry you forward. All my love. Nancy

Before my senior prom. Thanks for always being there for the big and small moments of my life!
We were so very saddened to hear the news of David passing. He was a very special, kind, generous man who was Uncle and great Uncle to Ben, Edward and Piers.
We will remember sharing a real ale in the local pubs, sunshine in Cornwall, fish and chips in Hythe and listening to his fun adventurous stories of his life.
Love to all the family at this difficult time. From Ben, Rosie, Edward and Piers xxx
Many condolences to the entire family. David was a precious man. I adored him from the moment I met him through Paula. I was blessed to attend their wedding & to get to know the most generous, intelligent, witty, fun man that my dearest friend Paula married. He always captivated me in conversation (plus, who wouldn’t want to listen to that soothing Brit accent!) Rest In Peace sweet David. Love you always, your “Bugsy” (Sandi)

In meeting David, I met a warm, funny and clearly complicated man, and the Wilkinson patriarch. David was always interested in our plans for the future and was so very generously supportive and continued to be in all we did moving forward. I will never ever forget that. He has left a beautiful legacy in his daughters and a bit of a hole in my husbands heart. Goodnight David, rest easy.
We are so sorry for your loss. David was a generous and fun-loving person with a tremendous love for his daughters. Olivia, Alicia and Melia were a special joy in his life and he was a wonderful father to them. Rest in peace, David.
David was my big brother. While I have few memories of early years together, in later life we became as close as brothers could be. After mum and dad passed David took on the role of patriarch to our family, and did an amazing job of pulling us all back together during his frequent returns to the UK, often travelling many miles totally jetlagged, just to be sure to keep in touch. He was an amazing uncle, always kind caring and generous in the extreme.
David was my big brother... and for that I will always be thankful.
Rest in peace big brother, you did good.
Very sorry to hear the news of David's passing and my heart felt condolences go to his family. I can't forget the help David gave me on my secondment to ICI America's Textile Dyes Business and the humour that came with it. Rest in peace David.
