Personal note from Olivia, Alicia and Melia -his amazing daughters!

David, Dad, Grandad was well known for his different ways of looking at things, tackling projects and solving problems. Sometimes his quirky approaches were mistaken for taking a short cut but in reality, he was always thinking “out of the box” and never conforming to the rules or standard way of doing things. He was always thinking and juggling multiple ideas, projects, and purchases and keeping those that love him on their toes trying to understand what was actually going on (and that continues even after he has left this life).
David was known for his love of speed, be it on a horse, a motor bike, in a car, or on the ski slopes and occasionally that love for speed resulted in a scrape or two or even worse. As well stated by both sons of one of David’s best friends: "I have great memories, mainly the fast cars and accidents, he was one of a kind" and "He had a good go at life".
A worldwide traveler, David jetted around the globe extensively for work to far flung places such as Pakistan, Iran, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Japan. He continued to be up for travel in his retirement often meeting up with family and friends for adventures such as ski trips in the Rockies, road trips to national parks, beach vacations in the Caribbean, and various trips to Europe. He was also known for his love of first-class dining and took great joy in introducing and treating others to unique culinary experiences.
He did not let distance or time zone keep him from staying in touch with his family and friends in the UK and always made a point to go back to England once or twice a year to meet up with loved ones, always involving multiple trips to the pub.
David had a great love of family and an especially fierce love of his daughters of whom he was super proud and often known to sing their praises to friends, colleagues, bartenders and other customers at the local bar or pub.
David will be sorely missed, yet the family knows that he will creatively remind us of his quirks, unique sense of humor and one of a kind approach to life in both small and grand unmistakable ways.
