Dear Karin, Tom, Helga and families - we’re so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. Although he intimidated me as a teen when I babysat you two, I grew to know him as a kind, compassionate man and respected him greatly! He and Helga would stop by and visit my Dad in later years - so thoughtful!! Hopefully Mom, Dad and Dave are having a cup of coffee in heaven as we speak!

David Weiss, my uncle, was a wise, intelligent, charitable, and faithful Christian man by the grace of God. And yes, all the relatives including myself revered him for the sportsman and fisherman he was! In memory of him, we have donated to "Project Healing Waters," a flyfishing charity outfit for recovering military veterans. We figure Uncle Dave would have appreciated this, given his love for fishing.
Our Lord Jesus said that in His Father's house are many rooms (dwelling places) and that He goes to prepare a dwelling place there custom-made (!) for each one of us. (John 14:2) I can only wonder at what kind of wondrous river to wade in with what kind of wondrous fish to catch our Lord has prepared for Uncle David in his dwelling place! He is now at peaceful rest awaiting the resurrection unto eternal life. May all his loved ones now in bereavement be comforted by this truth and, by perserverant faith like David, follow in his train which our Lord Jesus Christ leads. "Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5
All our love,
Steve, Angelika, Jonah, Thea, Lena, Micah Weiss (Greeley, CO)
