In loving memory of David Wayne Jackson who passed away on May 20, 2024, 3 months after being diagnosed with a rare aggressive cancer, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas at the age of 72. He was born in Dallas, Texas in 1951 to George and Mary Katherine Jackson, but moved to Farmers Branch in 1956.

David attended Cabell Elementary School, Thomas C. Marsh Jr. High School, and graduated in 1970 from W. T. White High School in Dallas, Texas. David excelled and lettered in football and track. He was chosen in high school as one of the Superlatives for “Most Athletic” and received awards for All-District and Honorable Mention.

After graduation, David worked for Lone Star Gas Company in Irving, Texas for 10 years and then became an entrepreneur, starting a Landscaping Business and running it for over 20 years.

David met the love of his life, RoseAnn Danziger in 1973. We both traveled weekly to the family property at Brookhaven Resort in Hawkins, Texas. David was an avid lover of animals and adored our 3 cats. He enjoyed going to estate sales, looking for unique items and bargains. His hobbies included swimming, football, fishing and hunting. He loved vacationing in Galveston twice a year, enjoying the beaches. David enjoyed being and working outdoors, however, his real passion was cooking. He enjoyed all cultures with their different foods and wines.

David is survived by his common-law wife, RoseAnn Danziger, brother-in-law Joseph Bernard Danziger, sister-in-law Judith Ann Danziger, cousins Vicki Marr Steele, Kathy Marr Embry, Russell Marr (Tracy Steele Marr), Marsha McClean and Lisa McClean. David was preceded in death by his father, George David Jackson, mother Mary Katherine Marr Jackson, aunt Dusty McClean, and brother-in-law David Jacob Danziger.

A Celebration of Life event is pending at this time.
