My dad was definitely one of a kind. A lover of life, people, work, and animals. He was all about family. He taught me loyalty and to keep a sense of humor. A man that won't be forgotten for sure. After his stroke we got to spend a lot more time together and we became not just father and daughter but the best of troublemaking friends, never missing a moment to laugh and learn together. I can't believe he's gone and hate that he had to suffer so much. He's the strongest, funniest, friendliest man I've ever known. I miss him so much.
I’ll be filled with memories of David for the rest of my life. He was a wonderful man with a huge heart. My favorite memory is coming home after work or school and him coming home after work, while we sat together watching “Who Wants To A Millionaire”. He’d help me eat an entire package of Oreos in one night. No one has ever been able to fill those shoes. There are many shoes David wore no one else could possibly ever fill. Rest easy dad.
My condolences to David's family. David and I were very good friends in high school in North Carolina. I remember when he and Bonnie started dating...going to parties, football games, etc. Those were great times. He and Bonnie were always together, I guess that's why they've been married 43 years. David was always easy to talk to and always there for you if you needed a hand...a truly great guy. I am so sorry for the loss but I feel confident he's got his wings and is now looking out for all of those he loved. Cherish the memories and smile when you think of him...I know I do. God bless you all.
