David's obituary
David Todd Williams (nickname LiL biTT), a one-of-a-kind man whose love knew no bounds, passed away on January 30, 2024. Born on April 12, 1962, to Jackie and Kathryn Williams, 1 of 9 siblings; 7 brothers and 2 sisters: Walter (Elizabeth), Kurt (Linda), Brenda (Tim), Brent, Brian (Deone), Darwin, Laura (Mark), and Jason (Alicia). He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Walt, sister Brenda, and brother Darwin.
David entered into a sacred union with Sherrie Lynn, sealed alongside their five children—Zachary, Justin, Trisha (Chris), Aaron, and Cherree (Joseph)—in the LDS temple. He treasured the love and support of his siblings, extended family, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His pride extended to his role as a grandfather to Dylan, Natalee, Tasiah, Braxton , David (DJ), and Arianna.
Despite physical limitations, he engaged with them wholeheartedly, fostering lasting memories, teaching them the mastery of pool, a sport he enjoyed most, or immersing himself in their interests. He cherished quality time and conversations and his devotion to his family knew no bounds. He found solace and joy in the presence of his children and grandchildren.
Throughout his life, David faced numerous challenges, yet his love for family remained unwavering. He found fulfillment in the simple pleasures, especially spending time with grandchildren. David's passion for family, coupled with his generosity and empathy, made him loved by all that knew him.
An avid enthusiast of billiards and a true compassionate soul, David's presence lit us a room. He touched many lives with his warmth and kindness. Always willing to extend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom to those in need, even if it meant giving his last dollar.
In his final days, he achieved a remarkable triumph battling one of his life's hurdles, a victory allowing him to spend time with those that loved him which brought solace and gratitude to his children, grandchildren, and siblings. Though he left this earthly realm too soon, his memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts. You’ll be deeply missed but fondly remembered as light and love.
Dad - As we mourn your passing, we take comfort in our reunion one day, where your children and grandchildren will surround you once again. Until then, your spirit lives on, and your legacy of unconditional love and support remains. Farewell, our dear father, until we meet again one day.
A viewing, funeral services and graveside ceremony will take place on February 12, 2024 for those that wish to pay their respects and share memories. Viewing from 10am-11am with Services following from 11am-12pm at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home 4760 S State St, Murray, UT 84107. Graveside Ceremony will follow and be held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery 6500 S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84084.
