Background

My name is Julie Solis. I'm David's wife. We have 2 boys - Evan is 3 and Logan is 1. We're also expecting a baby girl this Spring. I am overwhelmed with immense gratitude from all of the support we've received thus far with family and friends. Everything we receive financially will go to our children. We built this new life for them and everything we ever did was always for them. Our children are our greatest accomplishment. David was truly the best daddy that ever could've lived, and he never let cancer get in the way of his care and love for our children.

My husband David Solis passed away on August 25th, 2022. Not many people were aware of our struggle (we're very private people), but he battled stage 4 colon cancer for the past 2.5 years. I was his caretaker and his wife. He was my soulmate. We were inseparable. I'm a very lucky wife because I hit the husband lottery when I met David. We got to do so much together that not many other couples get to experience in their much longer lifetime together. We had an accelerated life plan when he was first diagnosed in March 2020. We kicked things into overdrive, not knowing how much time we had left together. We had baby #2, and bought our very first house. We went on numerous road trips and made so many beautiful family memories. And just a few weeks ago we learned that we are expecting a baby girl this Spring. How lucky am I that David gave me this wonderful life. He gave me our wonderful children, and because of them he will live on forever. A part of my soul is now missing. It's resting with David's soul until we meet again. I love you David with every part of my heart, soul, and body. Thank you for being my rock, my anchor, my soulmate, my best friend, the best husband, and the absolute greatest daddy that ever lived. Please watch over us. We will always be your family. I will always be your wife. You will always be the father of our 2 (soon to be 3) babies. Until we meet again, please say hi to my sister and dad who are up there in heaven (or somewhere in the universe) as well. I'll see you soon one day, but for now I'll take care of our boys, and I'll tell our baby girl who you were so she will always know. We will never ever forget you. I promise. I've got this babe. You don't have to worry about us anymore. We're ok. I love you. Rest easy, relax, and have a wonderful time where you are. Wait for me. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
