David's obituary
David was an ironman, father, brother, son, uncle, friend, mentor and role model to many. His favorite song was "So Many Roads" by The Grateful Dead. If you were fortunate enough to know David, you know just how fitting this song is. One of his greatest joys was riding his bike, for miles and miles, anywhere and everywhere.
David found so much fulfillment in his career. He took immense pride in serving as a manager, leader, and mentor at Goldman Sachs. He termed his management style "leading from the back of the plane," as he elected to fly economy in order to fund team building events. When he managed Goldman Sachs India, he was often referred to as the mayor of the office. David got to know each of his employees personally, and created a sense of community in the workplace.
David was a man of his convictions and principles. He felt strongly that a person's choices matter, and encouraged all he encountered to do their due diligence before forming an opinion. He was always up for a spirited debate, and welcomed a passionate opponent.
David is survived by his four children Samantha, JD, Annie & Betsy. A virtual memorial is planned for Sunday, October 25 at 9 am ET via Zoom.
