David Thammadi Shashikant, 82 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, affectionately known as Shashi to his friends and Thatha to his grandchildren, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024.

David was born in Hyderabad, India on April 27, 1942, to Wesley and Lilly Manikyam.

David worked as an Ear, Nose, and Throat and Facial Plastic Surgeon for 30 years. He enjoyed music (especially playing the harmonica), cars, travel, and most importantly his eight grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ravi and Nishi.

David is survived by his wife Sathy, his children Lavanya and Mark, and his grandchildren Bojena, Kate, Tatiana, Mary, Maggie, Jacqui, Jolie, Henry and other family and friends.

Per his strict instructions, following cremation (without viewing) a Celebration of Life will be held on September 1, 2024 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
