David's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Seyfarth, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and esteemed friend, who left this world on March 10, 2026, in the early morning hours. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Salas-Seyfarth, and their adoring children: Laura Nicole Carpenter, Lauren Vasquez, Teagan Bertone, Kelsey Seyfarth, and his sons, Jonathan and James Moses.

David's life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family and his country. He honorably served as a Captain in the United States Army, a commitment that shaped his character and instilled in him a deep sense of duty and responsibility. His military service was marked by courage, integrity, and a profound love for his fellow soldiers—values that he carried with him throughout his life.

After his military service, David embarked on a successful career as a civil engineer with JM Waller Associates. His expertise and keen problem-solving skills earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. David was passionate about his work, always striving for excellence and mentoring those around him. He played a pivotal role in many projects that enhanced the communities he served, leaving a lasting legacy in the engineering field.

David was the eldest of the Seyfarth family, preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gloria Seyfarth. He is survived by his younger brother, Kenneth Seyfarth, who remains a cherished part of David's legacy. David held dearly the memories shared with his family, drawing strength from the values of kindness, resilience, and hard work that they instilled in him.

Beyond his professional achievements, David was a man of many passions. His warm heart and infectious laughter brought joy to every gathering, and his ability to listen and offer wise counsel made him a pillar of support in the lives of many.

David leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. His family will miss his spirit, unwavering support, and the countless moments of joy he brought into their lives. As they navigate this profound loss, they find comfort in the shared memories and the love that David instilled in each of them.

A celebration of David's life will be held privately with the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to his GoFundMe to honor David's commitment to both family and community: https://gofund.me/1dbfd709c ↗ (https://gofund.me/1dbfd709c)
