DAVID RAY SEBESKY

July 3, 1955 ~ December 15, 2022

David "Dave" Ray Sebesky, age 67, went to be with his heavenly father on December 22nd, 2022.

Dave was born in Edgewood, Maryland, USA on July 3, 1955 to Paul Walter Sebesky and Esther Rose (Hartzler) Sebesky. David was a life long resident of Franklin, Indiana.

In 1973, Dave graduated from Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Indiana. Three days after graduating High School, Private David R. Sebesky, age 17, completed eight weeks of basic training in the U.S. Army Training Center, Armour, Ft. Knox, Kentucky but spending most of his time in Colorado. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Dave married Shelley (Ledford) Sebesky on October 5, 1996. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by one son, Paul “Sharkey” Sebesky of Florida; siblings, Danny (Tish) Sebesky of Indiana, Donna (Robbin) Sebesky of Florida and Debbie (Dan) Detlefsen of Illinois.

Dave is preceded in death by both his parents, and brother Mark Edward Sebesky of Franklin, Indiana (2021).

Dave worked for and retired from Milestone Construction.

While Dave was well known for his rendition of the Charlie Daniels song “ Long Haired Country Boy” he was also an avid outdoorsman, that loved hunting, fishing, though his biggest impact was with his family. He was loved and known by everyone. He never met a stranger and always had time for everyone.

A memorial service of Dave’s life will be at 12pm Saturday, July 1st, 2023, 5652 E. 400 S. Franklin, IN, 46131.
