David Forrest Rooksberry passed away at the age of 43 on September 27, 2023 at his home in Lebanon, KY. David was born in Monroe County, Indiana on November 13, 1979 to David William Rooksberry and Angela Marie Stewart.

David has always been surrounded by a large, loving family. David was preceded in death by his father, David William Rooksberry, one sister Kristina Sult, paternal grandmother Joanna Rooksberry, paternal grandfather Lloyd Rooksberry,  maternal grandmother Dolly Hardin, and maternal grandfather John Stewart. Deeply missed, David is survived by two children, Trinity and Brycen Rooksberry, his mother Angela Wright (Peter), his sisters: Renae Rooksberry (Jeramie) and Gloria LeMaster, (Curt), brothers: Jeffrey Wright and James Wright (Sherry), nieces: Savanna and Shaylin Smith, Autumn Jones (Jason), Sara Ashley (Tim), Elizabeth Curry (Jacob), Sabrina Sult, Esther Wright, and Madison Wright, nephews: Tyler Sult, Joseph Wright, Christian Wright and Gage Wright, eight great-nephews and four great-nieces, his dog, Siri, and a host of other friends and loved ones.

David was a man who was no stranger to struggle in life, but those who love him remember a man who fought to better himself and who was devoted to his family and friends. He hated to see anyone alone and down on their luck and was always willing to help. He has been quoted as saying “I know the struggle and I don’t want anyone else to have to experience that.” His two greatest loves and accomplishments were his children Trinity and Brycen. His last thoughts and words were of his love for them.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on November 11, 2023 at the First Apostolic Church in Russell Springs, KY. There will also be a Celebration of life in Lowell,Indiana on November 18,2023. Details pending.
