I first met David in 2012 and lets just say me and him did not get along or vibe at all....i was in a relationship with someone who showed david a little smidge of attention when we had him as a guest for drinks at our place. My young and psycho self immediately wrote david off as a enemy and bad guy. Needless to say When David seen how crazy it made me with jealousy and immaturity and how I acted out because of the attention my boyfriend and him were giving each other he no longer came around and stopped all contact with either of us ..... Fast forward to about August/Sept of 2017 we reconnected not knowing that we had that history well at least i didnt because I didnt recognize him for a plethera of reasons. In the 5 years from the first time that we encountered one another, I had done a incredible amount of maturing and went through a lot of self growth as I'm sure he had done as well. This encounter was the absolute opposite as our first. We instantly hit it off and definitely connected on many different levels. I got to see what a great person he actually was. I remember we were driving one day and he turns to me and says do u remember that you used to hate me and of course my answer was no until he refreshed my memory. The point of this story is that me and david then grew to become great friends. We had a lot in common. He made me laugh tremendously. We vibed well together but had I held on to that unfounded hatred for him I would have never gotten to see what a great guy he was nor experience the pleasant connection we naturally had. Life is too short....dont be so quick to find reasons for you too dislike someone. First impressions never reflect who someone truly is in a entirety. You might as well judge a book by its cover and we all know what a mistake that always will become. Instead look for the positive and pleasant qualities in people. Challenge yourself to notice uniqueness in others that you admire or enjoy. Your next friend. Partner. Employer. Life changing encounter. Or Love of ur life. Etc is out there or shoot might have already come and gone because our narrow and shallow minds might have not given them but, MOST importantly ourselves the opportunity to see what greatness could possibly be! Im grateful that I got a second chance to experience what magic David Jacobs would bring to the table (no matter how crazy or out there or in your face it could be) there was never a dull or boring moment in the company of david jacobs. I still cant believe your no longer with us physically in this life but I find comfort in knowing your looking down on us from ur keno machine in heaven ( lol ) laughing at all of our embarrasing moments and helping to guide and protect us all for the times when maybe (in my case most all the time ...u already know) those embarrasing moments become somewhat reckless or dangerous.
Rest in paradise my friend.

I have known David for about 15 years and thought of him like a little brother. The conversations we would have would always leave me so deep in thought as I would question all I knew, all I believed in , and in such self reflective thought like no one that has ever been in my life. It was truly a privilege for me to call him my friend my brother. My heart is broken knowing he is gone, but broken even more for his Mom, sister, nephew and niece. You all are like family and please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. From my conversations with David I know he is in a better place where he is free from pain, free from sorrow and free from worries. RIP my friend and thank you for your friendship over the last 15 years.
