David Joseph Redli, 76, of Lakeland, Florida passed away surrounded by his family on March 22, 2023. David was a longtime resident of Strongsville, Ohio, and moved to the Lakeland community later in life to enjoy the warmth and sunshine.

David was born on June 17, 1946, to Joseph and Helen (Kukulka) Redli in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Holy Name High School before becoming an official “Buckeye” at The Ohio State University, his beloved Alma Mater. David proudly served his country as a part of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

David loved his family and deeply enjoyed the company of his brothers, Donald (deceased) and Michael (Karen). He is survived by his three daughters—Antoinette (Toni) Speer, Rachal Redli, and Dawn Makowski (Paul)—to whom he was deeply devoted. He consistently shared how proud he was of these women and delighted in spoiling his grandchildren, Taylor Speer, Emma Speer, Brock Makowski, and Connor Makowski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

A memorial mass will be held for David on May 27, 2023, at Saint Joseph Church, 12700 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, Ohio 44136 from 10:00-11:00 AM. The service will be followed by a luncheon at The Italian Village, 16605 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136 that is open to family and friends.
