This is Chris from Toon Army Seattle. David was a regular at our viewing parties for Newcastle matches sometimes showing up as early as 4 AM to watch games. We all loved David and are so saddened to learn of his passing. Please accept our deepest condolences. RIP HWTL.

My condolences to David's loved ones and friends. David was a positive influence to my children during his days at Tournament Indoor Sports in Enumclaw. He was a talented technical player with a very caring heart and a love for making others smile.❤
Larry, Can't imagine how difficult these days must be for you and your family.

David was kind and caring and wouldn’t hurt a soul. He helped many young people in the soccer world and it certainly shows how many people he touched in the many posts on FB! He always had a smile on his face and was very sweet. Our hearts are with him and his parents, Pam and Larry Proud in love and tears for a life lost much too soon.

David’s highlight video. Taught me how to play the game we love and brought so much happiness to my life. Glad we got to knock the ball these last few months. Love always.
I will never know another human being like David Proud. He was exceptionally witty and dangerously charming. It is clear from all the wonderful tributes written in his honor that he is someone who left a mark on all those around him; myself included.
TENACITY
I will never forget the years that I had David as a coach. The word “tenacity” has a place in my heart because he taught our team determination and hard work. He was always so focused on individual improvement and not the scoreboard. David cared about every one of his players no matter what. David was such a genuine person on and off the field. He brought so much passion to the game of soccer. He always reminded us to “put thought behind every touch of the ball”. He truly was an inspiration. I am so thankful to have met him and I will never forget him.
I’m so sorry Pam and Larry, my thoughts and prayers are with you!❤️❤️
No man in history will ever rock a pair of capris like David ❤️❤️So kind and generous. His passion for the game of soccer and genuine love for sharing his knowledge of life will ever be etched in my family’s hearts. We lost a gem
It was our great joy to know David during his time in Madison. He was a generous, fun (and fun loving) housemate to our daughter, Elena, and the 2 other women he shared the home with. My husband and I were so grateful that the household had his strong and steady influence in their lives. We spent several Thanksgivings with David; he fit in so well with all ages and all backgrounds. He was so easy to love! We think of the many young lives he influenced and our hearts break for the loss that all of us will have to endure without him. This is a terrible loss of a young man in his prime who so wanted to make the world a better, healthier and more joyous place. We will pray hard to find peace with his illness and death; we will miss his smile and his laugh forever.
