Danna Ruth Poma, 80, of Garden City, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2023, after a long battle against rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes.

Danna was born on February 2, 1943, in Detroit, MI, to Daniel and Ruth Rideout. She had two children, David and Timothy Pniewski, and three grandchildren, David, Brenton and Skylar Pniewski.

She worked for many years on the paint line at Fisher Body as a Final Checker. She took great pride in her work there. This is where Danna met the love of her life, Eugene Poma. They were married on May 23, 1984 at the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage lasted for 32 wonderful years.

She eventually retired from General Motors with a medical disability leaving behind her beloved Fisher Body family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Poma, and her two sisters, Norma Chapman and Mary Williams. Danna is survived by her children and grandchildren, two sisters, Dorothy Daniels and Linda Rayle, and many nieces and nephews.

Danna was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1 pm, at Rockwood First Congregational Church located at 22600 Mather Street in Rockwood, MI 48173.
