David Perez Jr., 46, of Norcross, GA passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023. David is survived by his parents, Graciela Gonzalez, Michael Alaniz, David Perez Sr.; sister, Sonya Perez; sister, Megan Gonzales; brother, Matthew Gonzales; nieces and nephews, Micaela Craig, Anthony Finch, Sophia Perez, Aaron Lozano; great-nieces and great-nephew, Gabriella Craig, Marcella Craig and Levi Craig; beloved dog, Hephaestus 'Heff" Perez.

David Perez was born on June 16, 1976 in Santa Ana, CA. A native of Houston, TX, he was raised in Norcross, GA where he graduated from Norcross High School in 1994. He received his bachelor's of fine art from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 2003. David was a creative and entrepreneur that was not afraid to take on new challenges and business adventures. He was a Tio who introduced his nieces and nephews to new food and ideas. He was a big guy with a big heart and big dreams. An avid UGA fan he loved yelling at the coaches for their errors. As a food enthusiast he was always waiting for a reason to solve creative cooking challenges. David will be deeply missed by his family and friends for his amazing smile, warm hugs, funny commentary, and brilliant reviews. We love you Dee!

A Memorial service for David will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Those who wish to honor David's life and legacy are welcome to join us in celebrating his memory.
