Dave was kind and very knowledgeable person, he always ready to help whenever I need. miss you Dave, Rest in peace and God bless you.
"I offer my condolences to his family".
This is a big shock to me. He comes in to office every Thursday from Prescott and he sat across my desk (to my right). I have had few interactions with Dave and always been very helpful whenever approached him and directed my correctly. I know he supported multiple teams, tools, systems etc within our C&S org. He will be surely missed by everyone. May his soul rest in peace.
To the entire Mugler Family, my sincere condolences. I”m not good with saying the traditional things with the grace that some people do. David was older than me and I never knew him the way I did Laurie and Betty. However, I really believe in my whole heart that God hand-picked this family just for David. Just my short time living in the neighborhood left a lifetime lasting influence and impression on my life. Their Godly influence and wisdom. The tightknit family community that is the Muglers. A faith that is solid. Please know that I am praying for all of you. Love you all ❤️

Dave, the Lord took you too soon from us! You were such a gift to the Facets team. You shared your knowledge, always looked for solutions, and you were an all around nice guy! You made work fun.

I always appreciated how much your family meant to you and the occasional grandchild on a phone call:)

Keeping your family in prayer during this time.
My first work experience with Dave was shortly after he joined United. Fortunately our work paths continued to cross over the years, and it was always a pleasure. Dave brought a genuine compassion for quality with him to work each day and shared his knowledge freely with all who could benefit. His loss is tragic to our work family . . . but there are no words for the tremendous loss to his family and close friends.
I've worked with Dave over the years at United, reported to him for a time. I always knew him as cheerful and patient sort, and those qualities were every bit as important a lesson as his technical skills. My deepest condolences to all his friends and family left behind.
I had the great pleasure of working with Dave for many years in our Phoenix office. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and had the ability to lift your spirits. A true gentleman that will truly be missed.
Dave was like an ocean of deep knowledge, kindness and patience. I am so glad that I got the chance to work with him. I still remember the day when I found out that he was in office (as he used to telecommute before), and I rushed to his desk, out of excitement to finally see him in person. You were a rockstar, Dave.
My prayers are with you and your family.
I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with him at Optum, and he definitely was the go to guy - he had all the answers! He was so patient and kind, and took the time to really ensure you got the answers to your questions, and understood what he was saying (sometimes a bit too technical for me, but I got it :) ) God bless Dave's whole family, and again, truly sorry for the loss - He was such a great man!

RIP

Very sad when people leave us for a such a pathetic reason like this covid/coward. We didn't invent it. We didn't let it in - it was imported to us. But we have to see people go for nothing. Somebody will pay price for this happening. We'll try to defeat it, David, for you and those that went.

Condolences to family.

I met Dave when I first started with Optum. At that time, we were on deployment calls together on weekend evenings. My first impression was that this guy is awesome, funny, so smart, and just really genuinely kind. Whenever I had questions, I knew I could ask Dave and he would take the time and help. I was so saddened to hear about this news. I am so sorry for your loss. I can say he touched so many lives and left behind happy memories. God bless your family and friends.
Indeed a big loss for everyone. My deepest sympathy. Rest in peace and God bless you.
Dave and my paths first crossed in September 2014 at a business conference without even knowing it. It wasn't until my arrival at United that we realized we were in the same rooms at the same time a year and a half prior. I am sorry I never got a chance to meet him in person. Though I never had the fortune of visiting Phoenix after starting at United, anytime I entertained visiting, I made sure our paths were going to cross if I did.

I reached out to Dave on my first day at United because he was just that kind of person, someone who had answersa a lot of them, and was always willing to help. We worked on an issue on the phone for hours on my second day and that was a microcosm of what was to come. There simply aren't enough hours left in any of our lifetimes for Dave to impart all his wisdom on you. He was as dedicated and as knowledgeable a person as I've ever come across.

I wouldn't know a lot of what I do and be able to pass any of it on if it weren't for the tons of hours he spent with me. He is the blueprint and standard by which hires should be based on and his legacy will live on at United for the information he shared with all of us.

Rest easy my friend, your spirit shines bright.
I was very much saddened to hear the news of Dave's passing. I've had the pleasure of working with Dave over the past 5 years and have appreciated his clarity of thought and diligence to "do the right thing". Dave got it right more than most. My thoughts and prayers are with Dave and his family, friends, and many colleagues that will miss him greatly.

I communicated with David one or two times . Heard a lot about him from different people in my team . I know how technical he was in work . If you talk to him you start learning something .

This is a sad news . I offer my condolences to his family .
David has been our client and we have worked with him for years. He was smart, funny, and always a joy to work with. This is incredibly sad and my condolences go out to his family and friends.
I’ve known David since he joined UHG many years ago and at first I respected him due to his intelligence, his skill and his potential. Later as I got to know him better I began to witness his passion and dedication and then finally just how fantastic a human being he was. Dave was a great engineer – his accomplishments are too many to list, but include being a Principle Engineer, our first TLCP member, a Make IT Happen award winner and he was instrumental in designing multiple key processes including our Performance Testing and what later became our Pulse product. Beyond his accomplishments, Dave was a truly decent human being. Always ready with a smile, always upbeat and willing to help. He would dive in with you into a difficult problem and help you solve it with gusto. He willingly and passionately took on new and often challenging problems and figured out ways to truly Make IT Happen.

To his family, while you do not know me, I want to thank you wholeheartedly for sharing David with us. I will truly miss him and the energy he brought to every conversation – even the rabbit holes we would occasionally wander down together.

If there is anything his work-family can do to assist you during this terrible time, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am truly sorry for your loss and offer my sincere condolences.

It is very sad moment for me. I worked with Dave for many months and we had daily conversations. He was very passionate towards work and always approachable. He taught how to passionate towards a work and how to enjoy the work. He was hardworking and very knowledgeable. It is a very big loss whoever for all whoever interacted with him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to David's family, friends and co-workers in the Phoenix area. We are all saddened by the sudden news on the loss of a truly compassionate and caring individual.

I worked with David for a number of years at UHG and was always impressed with his kindness, thoughtfulness, creativity and passion for what he did. Every time I visited AZ, he always made a point to find time in his day to catch up on work things, projects, technology advancements and non-work items as well.

I will truly miss meeting with him the next time I visit the Cotton Center...

I was saddened to come back from a couple days vacation and read that this had happened. I'd been working with Dave now for quite a while. I've been attending a weekly meeting he was holding and he joined me on a monthly meeting I hold. If we had a few minutes before the meetings, I'd sometimes like to get an Arizona weather report from him as it is always so much different than here in Minnesota. I have relatives close to where he lived and told him we should have lunch sometime when I was down there.

He was very smart, thoughtful and always pleasant to work with. He was one of my go to guys for a major application we support here at UHG. It's just so hard to believe this. I know he will be greatly missed.

I will be praying for his whole family. Please accept my sympathy.
