David's obituary

David M. Kelly, 56, of North Olmsted, Ohio passed away on October 12, 2021, due to complications from a sudden illness. He was born on December 5, 1964 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late Robert E. and Virginia (nee Luther) Kelly. David was the proud business owner of Kelly’s Flooring for over 20 years and was grateful for all the friends he had made. He worked as hard as he played, and always enjoyed a good laugh. He will be fondly remembered for his mischievous behavior. He enjoyed pranking and teasing his family and friends, in the end everyone would get a good laugh from his antics, and usually a new nickname. He made life more fun for everyone around him! Though his life was cut short, there was no shortness of adventure, of laughs, of love, of good times, or of stories. He was a man of many passions and many words. David had a passion for woodworking. Many of his projects decorate the family home. His touch and presence will always be with family and friends that continue to enjoy his heartfelt creations. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, pappy, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His friends and family were his life, and the stories they share will keep his spirit alive. He will be sadly missed by all, but never forgotten.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Christine of 34 years; loving father of Renee Kelly (Greg) Horvath, Matt (Beth) Kelly, and Ryan Kelly (Katherine McKenna); cherished pappy of Emmett and Garrett; and dear brother of Patrick (Margaret) Kelly, Colleen Szekeresh (Donald) Fodor, Ronald (Stacie) Kelly, and Janet Kelly; many dear friends and extended family members. David is preceded in death by his brother Robert Kelly.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 12:00 Noon-4:00 PM at the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place at 4:00 PM at the Mausoleum. David will be privately laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. Masks are optional for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kelly family. Online condolences and memories may be left on David’s memorial page at www.sunsetfuneralandcemetery.….
