David's obituary

David Russell Lives went to be with his Lord on January 23, 2021. David was born July 27, 1940 to Russell and Leone Lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He married Kathy Tabler on August 13, 1966. He attended Ripon College where he was in ROTC and upon graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army. Dave worked at several area hospitals as material manager until he retired in 2008. He was a long-time resident of Forest Park where he was on various boards and committees including serving on city council from 2001 to 2007 and again from 2011 to 2015. He is survived by his three children, Kurt (Holly Eastham), Karen (Steve) Krabacher, and Jenna Phillips (Thomas Brock); ten grandchildren, Nathan Howard, Corrie, Abby Krabacher, Matt Krabacher, Seth Phillips, Sam Krabacher, Josh, Jordyn, Kennedy Phillips and Joey; brothers and sisters, Robert, Mary Ellen (Jim) and Maggie Perry; his long-time friend Fred and Carol Hielsberg and his beloved dog, Murphy. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy; his parents, Russell and Leone and brother, Tommy. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Matthias Church Saturday, January 30th at 11am. Social distancing and masks required. Mass will be lived streamed for those friends and family unable to attend. Memorials can be made to St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1050 West Kemper Rd., Forest Park, Ohio 45240.
