David Joseph Knize, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 13, 2018 in New Lenox, IL. Loving husband to Nancy (Darlington) Knize, father to Bridget (Rocky) Dakota, Davy (Lynn) Knize, Jeff (Laurie) Knize, stepfather to Steve (Janine) Dutton, Joe (Shanna) Dutton, Nikole (Bill) Dobbin, grandfather to Josh, Abbey, Fern, Lily, Liam and James. Brother to Kathy Miles and Ray Knize, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friend Pat Prevendar. Beloved dogs Xenta and Yonny. Memorial will be held at Gladys Fox Museum, 231 E Ninth St, Lockport, IL on January 5, 2019 from 2pm - 6pm to celebrate his life. Dave had many passions which included his family, friends, german shepherds, baseball, movies and music. Dave fought a good fight against multiple myeloma for many years. He never let it get him down and if it did, he didn't show it.
