David's obituary

David Knebel was born on July 25, 1956, and passed away on August 19, 2025. He was a beloved father, brother, and son, predeceased by his wife, Linda; his father, Morris Jasper; and his mother, Glenn Juanita. David's memory will be cherished by his daughters, Katrina Owens, Kristie Nambiar, and Kelly Herndon; his brothers, Mike and Wesley Knebel; and his sister, Kathy Wheeler, and 8 grandchildren.

A graduate of Texas Bible College in 1984. He then spread the message of Jesus  for a couple of years. He later settled into a pastoral role at the United Pentecostal Church in Stilwell, OK. He later attended Tulsa Community College where he received a degree in Applied Science in 2018.  He showed a commitment to lifelong learning. His deep spirituality was reflected in his attendance at the United Pentecostal Church; his strong faith was also evident in his love for the Bible, one of his favorite books.

David's personality was as hearty as his favorite meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and fried green beans, rounded off with chocolate ice cream. His preferred drinks were iced tea and root beer. He was known for his love of old school rock and roll, gospel hymns, and the superhero film Aquaman. A fan of football, he often cheered for his favorite teams. He had a soft spot for old Westerns and the company of his trusted German shepherd, Flash, during his leisurely time.

However, what truly set David apart was his personality. He was stubborn, yet kind, always ready with a joke or prank to make others laugh. He valued honesty and integrity, and shared these lessons generously with those around him. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends, and his visits to the casino were not just about the games, but the joy of camaraderie and community.

David left behind a legacy of kindness, with a heart as huge as his sense of humor. Through acts of service and love, he taught those around him about the importance of helping others, and his memory continues to inspire. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering belief in the power of kindness.
