Personal note from Mary

Dad was a storyteller and collector of stories and anecdotes. At his sister Grace's funeral, he realized that "others spoke of my sister with 'she was kind,' 'she was loving.' Nope--tell a story." We would appreciate if you'd head over to the Memories tab and share a story/anecdote/lesson/one liner from the legendary Dave Lundquist to help us in our grief.

And perhaps consider paying it forward by following his example of generosity in your own sphere of influence. One option is a scholarship fund in his honor through the Wayne County (Indiana) Foundation to continue to support students at his beloved Lincoln High School, where he taught for 37 years.

David John Lundquist, 74, of New Castle, IN, achieved his final glorious rest on May 9th, 2024. He earned it.

Born April 20, 1950 in Chicago to the saintly Lowell and Jennie Lundquist, David grew up in the suburb of Oak Lawn, IL, in a post-war neighborhood teeming with children to play with.
