David's obituary
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Chiaverini Jensen; his mother and step-father, Kathryn and Roger Johnson of Silver Spring, Maryland; his sister, Nicole Jensen of Ellicott City, Maryland; his niece, Mallory Jensen of Columbia, Maryland; his half-sister, Jamison Jensen of Bowie, Maryland; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and treasured friends. David was preceded in death by his father, James Jensen, Jr. and his mother-in-law, Judy Page.
As a child, David taught himself to play the piano and he emerged early on as a naturally gifted musician. He played with a variety of bands and he also performed as a solo artist in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and later in New Orleans. Those who were lucky enough to witness his talent were often blown away by the speed, precision, and emotion-inducing power behind his piano playing.
According to David's wishes, his ashes will be scattered over Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, Louisiana on a future date to be determined by his family.
