It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Hunsberger Jr., a cherished son, beloved father, and caring brother. Born on July 7, 1983, David passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2024, leaving an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him.

David is survived by his wife, Heather Hunsberger, and their beautiful children, sons Gavin, Domanick, and Jace, and daughter Mckenna. His memory will also be carried on by his father, David Hunsberger Sr., and his siblings, Jeannie Newland, Faith, Seth Sequoia, Aisa, Dakota, and Gabriel Hunsberger. He was predeceased by his mother, Carrie Nuyen, and sister, Sammi Jo Hunsberger along with other loved ones with whom he will now rest.

A man of great character, David was best known for his caring, giving, and kind nature. He was a beacon of benevolence in his community, often reminding those around him to "Never hesitate to help someone." He lived his life as a testament to this lesson, always extending his hand to those in need.

As a man of diverse interests, David was a lifelong supporter of the Detroit Lions and Michigan State football teams. He found joy in simple pleasures - fishing, playing basketball, and most importantly, spending quality time with his children. His love for music, especially his favorite band God Smack, was something he eagerly shared with friends and family alike.

David's sudden departure is a poignant reminder of the transience of life. His spirit, his generosity, and his unforgettable laugh will be dearly missed by all. Yet, we take solace in the fact that his legacy of kindness and unwavering positivity will live on through those who had the privilege of knowing him.

We invite everyone who was touched by David's life to remember and celebrate the man he was - a genuine soul, a true friend,  a loving father, and a cherished son and brother. His memories will forever remain in our hearts and minds as a source of comfort and strength in the days ahead.
