Background
My Brother David Hassett Passed Away December 27, 2020 at 2:25 A.M. in the Veteran’s Hospital. My brother served his country faithfully and was honably Discharged after his time in the service. He was retired on living on a very small income. He could not afford to keep his insurance active so he had to let it go in order to survive.
His family does not have any money to bury him nor does my family. My husband and I are retired and living on retirement from Social Security.
The money will be spent entirely on funeral cost which includes coffin, no service, open grave and closing grave. The Army will pay for the plot and headstone only. No money given will be wasted I can promise that.
My brother David was a wonderful man. He was a loving person willing to help anyone that ever knew him. He had for children two have passed and two still living. He was a veteran who fought for the United States of America.
He went into the Army as a young man served his country and was happy to serve.
David was sick I want to say for the past ten years. He had cancer, COPD, Lung problems, and caught the Virus
And died shortly after being hospitalized.
I would appreciate any help that anyone can give to put my precious brother to rest properly. He was an honorable man. Contribute
