David Goliday Sr., 84, of Chicago, IL, peacefully passed away on July 19, 2023 after a horrific battle with cancer.

Born in Muskegon, MI to John & Gladys Golidy. David was fiercely passionate about Engineering from the start and dedicated his life to both his pursuit of cars and his family.

After he graduated, David landed his first job in a Neighborhood car garage working on cars. This kickstarted a career in Engineering. In 1959, David met his wife, Clettie Golidy (Armstrong) and went on to have 4 children. David put family first, always, and was a dedicated father. David was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family.

David was also a passionate engineer and enthusiast. He spent most of his retirement spending time with a host of grandchildren.
David was predeceased by his Parents John & Gladys Golidy. His wife Clettie Golidy His Son Darrell Golidy. He leaves behind 2 Son Doug Earl Golidy & David Golidy Jr, and 1 Daughter Jennie Golidy. As well as a host of Grandchildren. A private memorial will be held Monday, July 24th. Donations and flower are accepted.
