Personal note from David's daughter, Rachel

I apologize for the way things went today—I ran into various issues and technical difficulties so I almost didn’t manage to stream the funeral and was too late to stream the reception. There’s a video of the funeral service, and I plan to go back and add notes about what happened during the cell service interruption. I will also see if there’s anything else I can do about sharing with people who couldn’t make it to San Antonio—I gotta make some calls and see! I was 2 hours late to the reception myself because one of the places that was supposed to have some drinks ready for pick up…didn’t. Lol. Dad used to say that it’s in the sudden, unexpected changes that you can see God work if you are able to stay flexible and be ready, in season and out of season. Many thanks to everyone who has been with us in person and in spirit, and who is covering us in prayer. May all the seeds that have been planted in your hearts flourish and multiply!

Thank you so much to everyone visiting this site. We are still pulling together information to share about Dad, so the site will grow. Please subscribe below if you'd like to be notified when more information is added.

We're honored that our dad was able to share his gift and love of the Lord with you! We are also happy to share memories with as many as would like to share here on this website and/or at the reception and are grateful for all your prayers and support.

Please RSVP to either or both events you wish to attend so we can prepare hospitality to receive you! Dress codes for each event are different. Both events will be live streamed. (Best laid plans! I will come back and add the link to the FB video of the funeral livestream and whatever other details there are)

Prayer Request From Gardiners via Rachel (11/10/2022)

I’d like to ask for prayer and take this opportunity to testify about the works of God and the faith of my father, David Gardiner.

Earlier today a close friend of our family showed my mom a ministerial review website she found about my dad. I’m requesting prayer because it frightened my mother, since she’s adjusting to handling a lot of things she’s never handled before, and it also posted the home address and phone number of my family from a few years ago, as well as an incorrect annual income.

What many people may not know is that my dad didn’t really have an annual income. He just prayed and took all of our needs to God, and we received the provision that God sent us, so it varied from week to week, month to month, and year to year. In my dad’s latter years, his health was impacted and he was unable to minister as much as he once did, but he never retired, up until the day of his death. I somehow know he was doing everything he could to minister to the hospital personnel around him right up until the Angel of Death came to take him home.

He did not expect to go so soon, so he was still making plans to get well and go out and minister to even more people. In the wake of his sudden passing, my family has pulled together in prayer and mutual support and we thank you for adding your prayers and sharing your love of our father with us. It means a lot to us to see him at the work he loved so much.

Obituary

Loving father, David Gardiner, passed away on October 28th. David was 72 and was surrounded by the angels and the love of his family when he passed.

David was born to Bernard and Evelyn Gardiner on February 06, 1950 in San Antonio, Tx. Although David did not grow up in a religious household, he always marveled that his parents chose to look for his name in the Bible out of all his siblings. He often …
