David Henry Garcia was born on March 3rd, 1984 in Denver, CO. David passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humility, and compassion that touched everyone who knew him.
David grew up surrounded by the love and guidance of his grandparents Herb and Mary. He shared a close bond with his younger sister Mia. He was a beloved nephew to his aunts, Michelle, Jennifer, Naomi and his uncle Joshua. David was also a cherished cousin and big brother figure to his younger cousins Serena, Ashley, Elizabeth, Alexandra and Catalina. He was preceded in death by his cousin Zachariah and his uncle Russell. He is survived by his parents David Boyer and Juanita Garcia.
David was the kind of person whose warmth and gentle spirit left a lasting impression. He never spoke poorly of anyone and always saw the best in people. His natural charisma and humble nature drew others to him and his forgiving heart inspired many. A bright and endlessly curious individual David had a special talent for computers and technology, always lending a hand or sharing his knowledge with patience and grace. He was skilled in many trades and hobbies such as carpentry, gardening, cooking, learning new languages, games and puzzles, origami, and reading.
A man of action as well as words, David dedicated countless hours to volunteer work in his community always seeking ways to lift others up. His passion for helping people extended into his work as a peer coach, guiding and supporting others on their journey to sobriety with empathy and understanding. David’s memory will live on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. His family, friends, and all who knew him will remember him as someone who truly got along with everyone. A rare soul whose love and compassion left the world a little brighter.
When David left this world, he gave one final gift: he donated his heart. Though his own journey came to an end, his heart will live on, beating in someone else’s chest, carrying forward his spirit of kindness and love.
