David Oren Fortier of Reston, Virginia died tragically on August 5, 2025 at age 34. Born on October 11, 1990, he was the beloved husband of Paola Lluberas, father of Elijah (2 years) and Isabella Fortier (6 months), son of Linda and Daniel Fortier, brother to Rachael and Leah, and friend to so many more.

Though he passed away young, David lived a life full of rich experiences. During his college years he met his wife Paola, who became his best friend and love of his life. They were blessed with two beautiful children, Elijah and Isabella. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Florida, David went on to have a successful career with several prestigious management consulting firms, including Booz Allen Hamilton and BCG. He and Paola then embarked on a new chapter by co-founding Washington Capital Associates, a family-owned private investment firm devoted to acquiring and managing small, privately held companies.

David had many passions and lived life to the fullest, always finding reasons to celebrate and create good times for everyone around him. David loved music and golf, and frequently played both with his two year old son Eli, who even had a smaller version of David's guitar. He enjoyed cooking elaborate meals, hosting friends and family in their home, and had a gift for creating opportunities to bring people together. All who were lucky enough to know him recall stories of love and joyful living with David.
