David's obituary

David Lee Everson, Cuyahoga Falls, 77, died in hospice after a long illness on May 21, 2018. He was born on September 10, 1940 in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, son of John and Ruth (Parsons) Everson. He is predeceased by his wife of 25 years Katherine (Zuppan), brother John, and parents. Surviving are sons Eric M. and Christopher D. and his wife Lisa (Blayney), and nephews John, Mark, and Kurt.

David was a Kent State University alumnus with degrees in architecture and fine art. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 28 years service. David was a talented and highly respected painter who was a long time member and former board member of the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center where he taught painting classes after his retirement until 2015. In addition, he held memberships in the Akron Society of Artists, Whiskey Painters of America, Ohio Watercolor Society, and National Watercolor Society.

David's family ask that anyone who wishes to help continue his legacy in the arts please consider donating to the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center scholarships in his name.
