David Ray (May 1932 - Aug 2024)

David Ray has now passed away

left earth with nothing left to say

in same way we shall pass away

in closing up shop one final day.

David, beholden to last name Ray

carved poems that enlightened us

and illuminated personal triumph

over tragedy as his blessing to us.

In the Putney Diner with Ray and Judy

was a poem unto itself for which there

are no words for, only my memory of

his delight for a book I presented him.
