David's obituary

David Dziados, 63 of Akron, Ohio, left this world on Thursday, April 10, 2025, to be reunited with his parents, Leo and Wilma Dziados; his brother, Robert Johncox; and his sisters, Cindy Johncox and Debbie Thompson.

David was born on July 25, 1961, in Watertown, New York.

He is survived by his four children: Haley Dziados, Joseph Dziados, Melissa Ozyesilova, and Jesse (Marissa) Dziados; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Karen Johncox, Donna (Rob) Payton, Joyce (Andy) Sulak, and Leo Dziados, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A proud former Marine, David served his country with honor. After his military service, he spent most of his life working as a long-distance truck driver. No matter how far he traveled, he was always welcomed home with open arms.

David will be remembered for his big heart. He was the kind of man who always showed up—ready to help, no matter the size of the need. He found joy in being surrounded by those he loved, cooking meals, sipping coffee, and watching classic westerns on TV.

The family would like to thank the staff of Summa Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to David and his loved ones during this time.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A private ceremony will take place at Western Reserve National Cemetery.
