David Lee Drake, age 73, passed away on June 24, 2025. He was a survivor of both Bladder Cancer and Leukemia and fought valiantly until the end.

David was born in Baytown, Texas on February 10, 1952 to Allie Pearl (Fitzgerald) Drake and Robert Drake. He worked as a Maintenance Foreman for Zachry Corporation at the Dow Chemical Plant in Deer Park, Texas for over 20 years until retiring in 2016. He married his wife, Linda (Daniels) Drake, on July 18, 1986. They were married for 38 years. David was a dutiful husband and loved to spoil his grandchildren. He could always be found drinking coffee and playing cards.

David was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his brother, Kenny Wayne Drake, and son, David L. Drake. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; sons, Robert Osborn, Kevin Osborn, and Matthew Traynor; sisters, Carolyn Pillow and Judy Miller; and brother, Ronnie Drake. He was deeply loved by his grandchildren, Brandon Traynor, Ashley (Gavin) Williams, Lyndsey Traynor, and Brooke Osborn, in addition to three great-grandchildren, Parker, Jaxson, and Easton.

A special thanks to Swan Hospice for taking great care of David during the last few weeks of his battle. Cremation has taken place. No funeral service will be held per the family’s wishes.
