He will always be with us and I Never Forgot Him Ever. He Will Always Be Missed Everyday But That Doesn't Mean He Is Gone From My Heart And I Will Continue To Remember That He Was The World's Most Best and Favorite Teacher In All Of History. We thank God for allowing David Bernard Douglas, Jr. to be our son. Son, it's our 2nd year without you and our hearts long for you each and every day.  I just wished I could hear your voice and your laughter and your jokes, and watch you take care of your children and see how much you loved them and they loved you. I feel like you are gone too soon but I know God has you busy in Heaven. They have a saying that a person is a jack of all trades but a master of non. Well son you were a master of all your trades and that's why God called you home early. Please tell all of our family members in heaven that we said hello and son we shall all see each other again. With love from mom and dad, Jace, Avery, & Aria, MoMo, Sushi, and Rain. (Even though we haven't been allowed to see Jace, Avery, & Aria, since you passed). RIP son, we will never forget you. This picture was taken the Saturday before my whole life changed. When I met Dave Douglas I swore he saved me from hell. Never did I imagine April 9th every year I’m saying I’m thinking of you. You were a FANTASTIC MAN AND FATHER!! You stepped in and stepped up knowing my babies were without their father and you knew the state of TX was going to keep it that way. The word lost an incredible man 2 years ago. I pray the kids are EXCELLING in all they are doing, and I pray peace over their hearts today as I know that morning rings in our nightmares nightly. It’s your birthday today. I wish I was calling you to tell you “Happy Birthday” or sharing some crazy meme with you. We are celebrating you down here and will always be grateful for the time we got with you. We love and miss you! Hope you are having a big party in heaven with a giant bonfire.

Suzette and I cannot express enough gratitude for the outpouring of love and support you have shown to our family during this incredibly difficult time. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to every one of you who took the time to send your heartfelt condolences to our family. Your outpouring of love, support, and kind words have provided us with immense comfort and strength as we navigate the loss of our beloved son, David B. Douglas Jr.

Losing David has been one of the most challenging experiences we have ever had but knowing that we have such an incredible network of family and friends, and a village of amazing people who care for us has truly been a source of solace. Your hugs, messages, whether in person, through cards, post it notes, poster boards, phone calls or emails, and photos have touched our hearts and reminded us we are not alone in our grief.

Your support and or donations to our grandchildren’s (Jace, Avery & Aria) futures has helped us find moments of peace amidst the pain, and for that, we are forever grateful. While we may never fully heal from the loss of our son David B. Douglas, Jr., having your love and support has made the burden a litter lighter to bear. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we cherish the memories of our son and begin the journey toward healing.
