I first met David when I started dating his daughter, Monica, in Mexico City in 1985.  I also met David's mother Ida at her apartment, back then.  Then David moved to Houston, TX, where we went to visit him, and also to Karmiel, Israel, where we again visited him.  He moved to Israel to be close to his brother Abraham Z"L, and his family (his wife Monica, and their three sons, Mauri, Ari and Daniel).  I now have just come back from Karmiel, after attending David's shiva.  He lived a long life, and will always be in our memories.
