David Matthew Castro was born April 9, 1984 in Marietta, GA to Edward Francis Castro and Robin Tylman Deremo.  He was called Home on November 6, 2025.

David was a man of great faith, sharp wit, and endless curiosity. To know him was to experience genuine friendship - the kind that shows up, lifts you up, and never lets you walk alone. He lived with strength, humor, and deep devotion to God, and he left this world at peace, surrounded by love, and ready to be received by his Heavenly Father. David will be remembered for his intelligence, his adventurous spirit, his compassion, and his ability to make people laugh even in the hardest moments. His life was a reflection of faith in action - steady, brave, and true. He is now home, free of pain, and riding into eternity where he always longed to be.

David was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Alphonse Castro and Veronica Datz Castro; maternal grandparent; Richard Tylman and Irene Goldman Tylman; father, Edward Francis Castro; Aunt, Judy Castro Moran; and cousin, Tracy Tylman.  Survivors include his mother, Robin Tylman Deremo of Norfolk, VA; brothers James (Debra) Castro of Willow, AK; Michael (Stephanie) Castro of Marietta, GA and Alex (Courtney) Deremo of Pittsburgh, MO; sisters Marie Moore of Kennesaw, GA; Debbie (Phil) Denson of Marietta, GA and Melody Castro of Fountain Inn, SC; nieces and nephews; Sarah (Daniel) Willoughby, Alex (Frances) Denson, Monty Castro, Isabel Moore, Talia Castro, Jeremy Guthrie, Jared Fields, Faith Castro, Ayla Deremo, Gwyneth Deremo, Miriam Deremo, Solomon Deremo, Eleanor Deremo, Leo Deremo and Ahava Castro. Great nieces and nephews; Emma Willoughby, Sam Willoughby, Isaac Willoughby, Lyliah Denson and Charlotte Denson;  many aunts, uncles and cousins.

David's memorial is will take place Thursday, Nov. 20th between 4:00pm-8:00pm at Abiding Church, 11303 GA-92 S, Woodstock, GA 30188.
